ACTIVITY ONE
You have been given two post-its.
1. On ONE you are to write what you THINK history is. Once you have finished bring the post-it to the front and we will add it to the class poster.
2. On the other post-it you are to research famous quotes about history. You are to write your favourite one on the post-it and bring it to the front.
3. Now we are ready to write a definition for 'history'. You are to copy THREE definitions that you can find, using your iPad, into your exercise book.

Who are archaeologists?
You are to answer the following questions in your exercise book:
1) DEFINE what an archaeologist is
2) EXPLAIN what an archaeologist does
and

INVESTIGATION
You are to work in PAIRS for this activity.
You are going to be conducting an investigation around the following question
How does Lumen tell the story of the Yuin?
You will need to COLLECT EVIDENCE and create a short video using iMovie or create a Google Slides.
HOW ARE WE GOING TO DO THIS?!?!?!

1. Pre-Investigation Research
To-do list before your begin exploring!
1. Choose a partner and make sure you are seated next to them.
In your exercise book answer the following questions:
-Who are the Yuin?
-What does the Lumen Website say about the Yuin?
-Create interview questions... you may want to ask any teachers you see?
-You need to collect photographs, voice recordings and maybe even videos..How will you do this?
-Is their a special department in the school that you could visit that could be REALLY helpful with regards to the Yuin?
-Who is going to film your findings?
2. Collecting Information
1. You need to make sure you explore everything nook and cranny of the school. You NOT allowed to go to the oval or in the car park. You are to only research around the main buildings.
2. Be polite when asking your teachers questions about the Yuin. If you ask extra nicely you might get top secret information!
3. Take photographs using your iPad. Be creative with yours images. Selfies? Angles?
3. Organising your findings
You are to organise your findings using iMovie or Google Slides. It is completely up to you how you do this! Use all of your skills!!

You will be walking around the room and visiting each groups work.
You are to provide a 'star' and a 'wish' for each display.
A 'star' is something that you think the group did really well.
A 'wish' is something that you wish the group could improve on for next time.

1. Place your iPad on your desk with your presentation open.
2. Clearly write your name and your partners FIRST name and LAST name on the feedback sheet.
3. Provide a pen for people to write with.
